Big Dada Records presents new album Everybody Down from South London based poet and spoken word artist turned hip-hop extraordinaire Kate Tempest. Tempest’s frank lyrics on each track (or chapter) on Everybody Down culminate to form an intricate, detailed novel, complete with characters and a cohesive plot whilst the backing production comes via Dan ‘Mr Dan’ Carey (Hot Chip, MIA). Leading off with ‘Marshall Law’, the Londoner’s lyrics are delivered confidently and faultlessly with Carey’s backing production never taking the focus away from the engulfing story created from the poetic lyrics.
