Ged Gengras AKA Personable lands on the Los Angeles-based imprint Peak Oil with his wild Spontaneous Generation EP. As with the 2012 Opal Tapes release, the EP sees the producer push ferocious, abstracted rhythms with a techno pulse. First off we’re confronted with the extended title track ‘Spontaneous Generation’, propelled by an intent beat and scratching synth patterns, hypnotising and consuming anything in its path. On the flipside, ‘Billions Of Christic Atoms’ is an up-tempo, niggling hardware jam that its stripped down to the bare bones whilst 'Series Of Energies' pushes a more subdued feel with a twinkling, acid-laced arrangement.
