Dai Primiitivi All’ Elettronica is the second part in a duo of Black Sweat Records re-releases from Italian experimental trio Futuro Antico. Recorded in 1980, the original has become well sought after for its minimalistic composition and perfect fusion of ethnic and synthesised sound. The meditative ‘Eco Raga’ intertwines classical Indian strings with a meandering flute solo whereas ‘Piano Synt’ is a hypnotic journey into the simplistic beauty of the piano. On the other side ‘Sinikora Kuma’ and ‘Suoni Naturali’ cover the group’s African-leaning interests, building a repetitive and transfixing atmosphere through indigenous instrumentation.
