Garage Hermétique’s collection of As One classics from 2018 resurfaces. Taken from records across the 90s, this EP is a short and sweet “recompiling” of tracks that just goes to show how cohesive Kirk Degiorgio’s discography is. From arrays of drum machines and woozy chords to minimal electro arrangements, ‘Destination Other’ descends, gingerly feeling out the rhythms soon to come before bursting into sharp sibilant breaks, with a high pitch synth scanning the stereo field. Fellow electro stalwart E.R.P. takes the raw and clear ‘Shambala’ into a denser atmosphere, as angular yet soft muted stabs, ticking beats, and sighing pads join together in the crisp reverb.
