Suzanne Kraft, Los Angeles native Diego Herrera, re-releases his first recordings on Frankfurt imprint Running Back. Missum, a series of untitled ambient pieces, follows 2011’s Green Flash EP on the same label and showcases a completely different side of the young producer. House and disco edits are replaced with soft keys and meditative saxophone solos on gorgeous opener ‘7:30’. On the long form ‘8:13’, wave after wave of sublime synths shape an aural landscape worthy of Tangerine Dream, while on ‘6:26’, heavily reverbed chords repeat endlessly, like a lost radio transmission, until they take on a blissful, almost transcendent quality.
