Swedish electronic trio Frak have dished up experimental beats since the late ‘80s, and have returned to the Borft label they founded to put out this latest compilation of tailpieces. ‘Soul Reprise’ is an acid-slathered remix of Dave ID's warehouse groover, all tumbling bass and whipping beats. ‘Phase Conclusion’ is the much demanded studio version of the track that closed their 2013 tours, another squeaking assault on the senses that sounds like it was written on the Korg MS-20s the band made their name with. If you’ve never heard of Björn Isgren and chums before, ‘Ultrasaw’ is a good jumping-off point into the hyperactive Frak back-catalogue.
