Hot on the heels of the recently mixed Watergate 15 from Kerri Chandler comes The Watergate Files – a vinyl sampler of fresh material included in the mix itself released by the label arm of the Berlin club. Leading off is ‘Mama’ where Chandler’s long time collaborator Jerome Sydenham provides his own words to the clean-cut swinging house groove. Next, weighty chord stabs underpin ‘Think Of Something’, coupled with a skipping beat for a truly groovy workout. Over on the other side we’re treated to two remixes of ‘Mama’ from some up and comers, with Voyeur’s a driving, peak-time bomb and Swedish producer Lafleur adding a stodgy bounce.
