L.I.E.S. stalwart Beau Wanzer and Elon Katz team up as Streetwalker for a smart release on Powell’s Diagonal imprint, which continues to go from strength to strength, complete with a Silent Servant remix. ‘Ooze’ is a crawling, crushed slice of abrasive analogue techno which originally was released by the Catholic Tapes imprint in 2011, but greatly benefits from the crisp press given here. On the flip, Silent Servant’s remix distills the blunted drums and redux synths of the original into a slicker techno cruiser, which is a real pleasure to witness.
