The ever-industrious Blackest Ever Black presents us with a new EP from Dalhous, a collection of four new tracks coupled with a sterling remix from Regis. Preceding their next album 'Will To Be Well', the four tracks here flit from expansive ambient to to crushing percussive workouts. 'Active Discovering' looks at the world around, its arpeggiated synths expressing confusion and wonder. 'Information Is Forever' is even deeper, time and space evolving as single notes float above. 'Sight Of Hirta' goes hard, crashing into soundscapes with jagged percussion that falls like meteors. 'A Change Of Attitude' is deeply affecting, a solemn, quiet number. Regis turns his hands to 'He Was Human And Belonged With Humans' from An Ambassador For Laing. Searing bass stabs, echoing sax solos, drifting tones, it's a darkly touching rework.
