Veteran producer DJ Clent joins the Planet Mu assault on the world of modern footwork. Taking the template from Mike Dunn, Clent reworks 'Magic Feet' in 'Hyper Feet', jacking it up and distorting it into frenetic acid. The sped-up soul sample that opens 'Baby Yeah 2012' is quickly eschewed for head-nodding kicks and snares. 'Clent's Dog Catcher' is a wild take on the funk, bombastic claps and shattered sci-fi samples meeting rumbling vocals and wobbling guitar riffs. Things get smooth on 'Don't Go Down', its R&B sample a blissful love affair under thunderous rolling drums, and that mood continues with 'Don't Leave Me' where Clent switches R&B vocals for Drexciyan arpeggios. There's not quite something for everyone, but Hyper Feet offers footwork inspired from every angle - there's a lot to love here.
