Subtext release the debut album of producer Eric Holm, a collection of music produced on the island of Andøya, which lies north of the Arctic Circle, using material collected through a contact mic recording from a telegraph pole which connects the island's military listening stations. Even without knowing this context the tracks collected here shudder with a desolate and creeping power, windswept noise drawn into meditative, dense loops of powerful sound.
