JBLA debut on the Desire imprint with two tracks backed by two remixes from some of the core members of the L.I.E.S crew in Ron Morelli, Svenghalisghost, and Vereker. ‘Belleville’ is a compelling number built from the rubble of a techno track, with sinister strings and a slamming tribal shuffle filtered through layers of saturating distortion into a wonderfully messy gloop, while ‘Night With Potential’ impresses with bleary-eyed vocals and strange synth chords. Ron Morelli & Svenghalisghost clean up and slow down ‘Beleville’, allowing individual lines to take on a haunting beauty, while Vereker’s take on ‘Night With Potential’ is a characteristic slice of deranged, thumping techno.
