Underground Resistance regular Dan Caballero aka Nomadico lets his fourth EP loose for the imprint entitled Yaxteq EP. Beginning with the sinister ‘The Singularity’, a lively bass line mingles with a sharp, daggered synth pattern before moving onto the jacking DJ weapon ‘Rooted’ with its pounding, insistent kick-drum. On the other side, we’re presented with ‘Yaxche’, a heavily layered piece that lies twinkling synth strings onto a melodic bass-line whilst the tempo is dropped on the closing ‘New Baktun’, a more restrained, dub-influenced cut.
