Having previously taken their cue from rave and prog rock, UK trio Klaxons return with new single ‘There Is No Other Time’, which revives the tropes of classic house music. Complete with a hefty and omnipresent kick, emotive piano stabs, and huge synth string pads, the trio concoct an utterly vintage house sound. It is, however, the nagging falsetto vocal hooks which have characterised their hits to date which once again lift this guilty pleasure above mere nostalgia.
