Culture Of Sound delves into the fascinating world of Bollywood film music with Bombay Disco: Disco Hits From Hindi Films 1975 – 1982. Selected from dusty Indian basements by DJ Brother Cleve, the compilation exhibits how the huge Bollywood film industry augmented the classic disco sound with their own arsenal of sitars, tablas and knowledge of eastern rhythms. Each piece is heavily groove orientated, carrying stomps, claps, wah-wah guitars and enough oddball rating to knock even the more hardened disco aficionado off their feet.
