In 1997 Robin Rimbaud (perhaps best known by the recording name Scanner) released The Garden Is Full Of Metal / Homage To Derek Jarman, a tribute to the musician of the title. To create this intimate release, Rimbaud made recordings of spaces Jarman has inhabited, ranging from walks by the sea to the busy streets of London, and used these to create resonant sketches of sound entwined with Derek Jarman's own voice. Now in 2014, the 20th anniversary of Derek Jarman's death, Rimbaud has re-released this album with four additional tracks. It's an album worth revisiting (or discovering for the first time), landscapes of sound wrought with a great delicacy of touch and reverence for the source material.
