Uncompromising industrial techno from French label In Paradisum. Parisian producer Qoso goes hard with this collection, making unrelenting seem too tame a description. Appropriate, then, that each track is named after a different type of whisky. The cavernous ‘Jura’ throws searing blasts of sound over staid beats and dancing claps. ‘Laphroaig’ goes into space, with waves of synth so deep you could drown in them. ‘Ardmore’, meanwhile, is where things really get crazy. Jacking up the tempo and going into overdrive, it’s frantic and menacing, with frenzied kicks and more of those blistering drones. ‘Ardmore’ also comes in beats-only form, a handy tool for any DJ.
