Ghost Dubs takes a victory lap after the electrifying success of last year’s Damaged LP with this new remix package out once again on The Bug’s PRESSURE imprint. Extended Damaged Versions comes as advertised, with Dubs himself reworking and reshaping the haunting, greyscale electronica of the source material until nearly all of it becomes unrecognisable, in the best way. While the heavy reverb floating around these extended workouts certainly points towards the dub reggae tradition, Ghost Dubs pulls the rug out even further here, creating beautiful sound design that hue closer to the avant-garde and ambient.
