Addison Groove returns to Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons imprint with his second album Addison Groove presents James Grieve, two years after the release of his debut Transistor Rhythm. While the producer’s first full length took its cues principally from Chicago Juke, his second effort has a distinctly Bristolian edge, betraying a pervasive jungle influence throughout. This release from one of UK bass music’s most enduring figureheads is bound to be vital listening for those tapped in to the currents of British club culture.
