For techno startup Optimo Trax’s fifth release they’ve convinced Milan producers Nicola Mazzetti and Cristian Croce to leave Barking Dogs - the imprint they created to share Europe’s electro-disco secrets - and record an EP for them. ‘Limit Without Patience’ comprises four funky but colourful slabs of dance music, with frantic music on the 8-bit console sounds of ‘Licantropus’; stripped down house beats on ‘Last Call to Black Loops’; and a freaky title track where voodoo noises fade in and out over a marching keyboard demo. A deliciously downtempo grab-bag of ideas from two of Europe’s finest beat-makers.
