Louis Digital has been making music with CiM since the late 90s, infatuated with the possibilities of the nascent digital era, yet it’s only a quarter of a century after the inception of their Unspecified Enemies project that they release its debut album. Romance in the Age of Adaptive Feedback buzzes with a utopian energy, pulling classic dance characteristics like flashing dub synths and sizzling electro slams into the jittery, relentless pummel of the modern day. The rhythms constantly push forward with electricity and motion as vocal clips spark and cut out, ramping up the four-to-the-floor fervour, and twisting glitzy synth funk mirrorball chords into a cinematic rush.
