Leeroy Thornhill’s time dancing for The Prodigy in the 90s with fast footed shuffles translates to his own equally energetic productions, and after recounting his tenure in his Wildfire book, Fundamental Frequencies do the honourable thing by rereleasing Thornhill's underground classic debut for the first time in three decades. Tornhill plays with rave structures on the Lowrise EP: the High side taps into dark, instinctual forms, with contorted vocals chops and expectant acid burned buildups, while the Low side brings extroverted and overjoyed drum and bass together with scrambling hardcore techno, synth strings and staccato pianos driving a sense of propulsive euphoria.
