UK-based artist Nochexxx has gained attention following a series of releases on Actress’s respected Werkdisc’s imprint along with a pair of EPs on Ramp Records. Here he teams up with Ramp Records again to develop and expand his unique sound in the form of an LP. Covering aspects of electro, hip-hop and glitch, Nochexxx’s sound is undeniably his own. Burning synth patterns collide with sluggish percussion and a thick coating of electro-inspired beeps and glitches on ‘Crying Bamboo’ whereas ‘Aquaverse’ samples running water, adding an organic feel to the alien landscape. Whilst mostly instrumental, Zackley Funk lends a serving of energetic vocals to the acid-laced, ghetto-funk styled ‘Cola Duck’.
