Phil Kieran offers up two love songs to the classic gaming era on his own imprint with ‘Computer Games’. ‘Six Trac’ displays a real joy for analogues sounds in the vein of Kraftwerk or Yello, with a repeating bass and drum machine barrage propping up huge rising rave scales. ‘Computer Games’ plays with similar elements, but has a more memorable sense of melody, its synth line blending Doctor Who-style eeriness with the bombast of a prog-rock guitar solo.
