Sasa Crnobrnja and Clement Cachot-Coulom, together known as Auf Togo, are back with their second single for London’s Leng Records. The duo presents a loose, almost improvised sound that works very well within the rigid confines of house. ‘Old Models’ combines surprisingly folky guitar with a probing synth line and live-sounding rhythm section. ‘Waiting For Beggi’ builds on a heavy kick and cowbells, adding deep bass line, spare guitar licks and a particularly heartfelt organ. Bonus track ‘Nature Of Things’ again blurs the line between rigid, quantised sounds and the duo’s refreshing human touch.
