Champion debuts his new alias Hayfever with a huge, bass heavy EP on Formula Records backed with a pair of remixes – one each from Maddslinky and the UK’s Mickey Pearce. Hayfever’s ‘Ground Collapse’ is a hulking party starter, building up slowly before unleashing an onslaught of warped bass laid thick over a steady kick-snare combination. On the other side, Maddslinky adds skittering percussion and cunning chord stabs for the ‘NJ Shuffle Mix’; Mickey Pearce’s starker take brings things to the dark side, utilising an acidic riff and plenty of atmosphere.
