Jacques Renault is back with a massive house banger and two class remixes, courtesy of his Let’s Play House label. On ‘The Fake Out’, Renault stacks menacing bass, eerie FX and multiple layers of vocal samples atop an unrelenting beat, something like Shake Shakir but more demented. Welsh producer The Organ Grinder strips away much of the racket and adds crisp drums on his minimal take, retaining the original’s swirling atmospherics. Brooklyn duo No Regular Play’s deep house mix goes in the opposite direction, adding warm keys and synth-bass for a more soulful feel.
