LuckyMe's latest release sees the label depart from their usual explorations in the inventive possibilities of dance music and beats with a work of monolithic and intricate drone and electronic atmospheres from Sevendeaths, the solo recording guise of Americanmen member Steven Shade. The release opens with 'Petrograde', a dark, futuristic landscape of shiny, synthesized sounds, its swirling layers evolving into something lighter in tone over the course of the track. 'All Night Graves' is enigmatic and surprisingly beautiful considering its somber title, sprightly shards of electronics interwoven with heavy waves of noise. Altogether it's a great release from a label that continues to surprise.
