We Can Elude Control release an album from London artist Roberto Crippa, who takes inspiration from musique concrete and noise to produce a shadowy and deep listen full of space, stillness and glowering menace. Opening with juddering tape and layers of desolate, noisy murmurings on 'Reflection', things only turn darker from there onwards. 'Order' sees thudding, sledgehammers of bass rising up from minimal but dense ambience, while 'Vector' does the same but twists over its course into something more mangled. 'Spectrum' contorts like a particularly mesmerising moment from a horror movie soundtrack, while 'Still' draws all the menace possible out of decaying static.
