Swedish producer Civilistjävel! Is back once again for his fifth release on Perko's FELT label, a new LP entitled Följd. As usual, Civilistjävel! Forgoes traditional track titles in favour of Roman numerals, lending a certain harsh mystique to these mournful dispatches from one of the coldest regions in Europe. There’s dread and despair in here for sure, but also great beauty in the emotive keys and wind-whipping ambience. It’s not all icy longing either, tracks like the acid-dipped ‘XVII’ get the blood flowing in between the glaciers.
