Will Saul's Aus Music imprint put out a release of more left-field leaning house music than the label's usual fare in the form of this EP from Appleblim and Kommon. The release kicks off with 'Jupiter', a dextrous piece of chiming chords, effervescent synths and slippery beats, gently bubbling reverb adding a celestial, space-age glow. 'Glimmer' is similarly warm and playful, spiky chords darting over a thicker and more grounding bass-line, while Beach-Trek is also light on its feet but distinctly rougher in flavour, interspersed with passages of peculiarly ricochetting blips.
