London club night Bangface is now officially a label, and on Christmas 2013 gave away limited edition CDs of ‘Neo-Rave Armageddon’, a compilation they’d made of their most popular, diverse and demented rave/techno 12”s. It was so popular it’s since gone into a bigger run, so anyone wanting to experience the most rascally array of beats in the city can do so from home: pitch-shifted, jungle-like R&B on Luke Vibert’s ‘Ecstasy’, a monstrous bass on The Panacea’s ‘So Damn Insane’ and the frantic acid assault of ‘Liberation of Desire’ by Shitmat. If this is how Bangface throw a Christmas party, London had better prepare for Halloween.
