Good Sad Happy Bad member Raisa K strikes out on her own for her debut solo LP out on 15 Love entitled Affectionately. As its title suggests, Raisa deals exclusively in love here, tracing the shape of relationships and writing truthfully about trust and love and intimacy whether it be between lovers, friends, or family. Recorded in piecemeal on her laptop at home in London, but also in secret during breaks at work or while watching her kids at the park, Affectionately sounds both robust and entirely personal in equal measure. Fellow compatriots Coby Sey, Marc Pell, and Mica Levi make guest appearances, but it’s Raisa K’s sharp songwriting and otherworldly voice that really shines here.
