Detroit techno figureheads and Underground Resistance affiliates Scan 7 are back on their own recently-minted Scan Records imprint for a new collection from the lab entitled Black Print. Scan 7 don’t stray too far from their well-worn paths here, but why mess with perfection. Fellow Detroit traveller AMX pops up on the opening cut ‘Addicted’ to lay down some juiced up electric piano rave stabs to nice effect, but it's the rubbery ‘Code 7’ that could really fill a room. All jackhammer kicks and claps, the doppler-like synths seem primed to bounce around the room like a beach ball.
