London duo Snow Ghosts take the mesmerising standout track ‘Secret Garden’ from their 2013 debut album A Small Murmuration and collate with a series of remixes for another enchanting EP on Fabric’s Houndstooth imprint. Firstly ‘Secret Garden’ dives deep down the rabbit hole with lucid, rolling drum patterns whereas Richard Skelton flushes out the drums and focuses on the hypnotic aura of vocals when placed against a dark ambient background. On the other side, Mathew Herbert’s ‘Wash It All Away’ mix ignites a deep warm glow into ‘Secret Garden’ along with a rolling bass line that gives the track greater dance floor potential. Lastly we’re confronted with the ‘Covenant’ remix, a harsh, hammering piece that makes uses of fizzing electronics and Dahlia Black’s confident lyricism.
