Genres

Followers of noise will be familiar with prolific underground artist Stefan Jaworzyn from a variety of his past projects, be it as part of pioneering industrial experimental act Whitehouse (with William Bennett AKA Cut Hands), guitar / bass work in noisy psychedelic band Skullflower or through his Shock imprint which released works from Coil and Current 93, amongst others. After a period of inactivity, here he lands on Blackest Ever Black with Drained Of Connotation, a collection of unearthed recordings made in the early 1980’s. Utilising a Korg monosynth and a Dr Rhythm drum machine, Jaworzyn creates unnerving and uncompromising pieces of early electronics experimentation, approach with caution.
