Om Unit’s first Acid Dub Studies album in 2021 was labelled an “interim project”; it seems he never truly predicted its reception would take him across three volumes, two remix albums, and live sessions expanding on his genre fusing science experiments. The series’ third entry is direct and forward on the dancefloor yet floating in atmospherics, evident in the evocative introductory setpiece ‘Frosted’, opening a portal to a ‘Hungry World’ where drum machines pick at the previous track’s icy exterior, melting it into wonky, murky bass offset by tropical keys and sweet acid reverb.
