Rinse FM residents Tom Shorterz and Chris Lorenzo, together known as Paranoid Resistance, take to Rinse to drop their bottom-heavy first single, along with some other treats. ‘Smoke Machine’ is an absolute roller centered around a dark, undulating bass-line, the title’s club-ready mantra and atmospheric pads. ‘Stabiliser’ is much more robotic, wrapping machine-gun hats and hard-hitting kicks in deep bass. ‘The Tunnel’ finds a middle ground between the aforementioned tracks, balancing progressive acid synthwork with big-room low end and drops.
