RTR is very firmly settled into the WeMe crew now, having released with the label since 2021, and for his latest offering he’s enacting more of the glorious breakcore ruckus that we love to hear. Riding on district line II is an EP rife with off-kilter junglisms: roiling bass turning acidic at a moment’s notice, dub sirens gone haywire over choppy waters, reverb throws thrown in at every corner. ‘Line II’ contains all this and more, beginning with searing, heaving metallic pulses and progressing into a wild, constantly reconfiguring structure of frothing, razor sharp breaks with a mind of their own.
