Kyoto-born and Berlin-based producer Alex Kassian takes on a classic slice of krautrock experimental electronica with his own sort of homage to the Manuel Göttsching epic ‘E2-E4’. In Kassian’s capable hands Göttsching’s icy minimalist cool gets a little hotter and a lot more dancefloor friendly, better suited to the palm-treed environs of an Ibizan dancefloor than industrial Berlin. dub legend Mad Professor’s ‘Qantas Crazy’ remix on the b side builds and builds with elated psychedelia until a smooth, but forceful kick drum practically glides itself into the mix.
