Originally composed and released for Swedish Radio in 1966, Lars Gunnar Bodin and Bengt Emil Johnson’s revolutionary piece of musique concrete ‘Semi Kolon’ was a move away from the norm that inspired generations of Swedish musicians to begin experimenting with electronics. Here, re-released on Paradigm Discs, we’re reacquainted with the interesting mix of early electronics experimentation and Swedish sound poetry that sounds as futuristic today as it did in the 1960s. Included with the audio that has come directly from the original radiophonic recordings are bi-lingual liner notes that provide an informative backdrop to this intriguing project.
