Rotterdam techno duo John Matze and Chris Aarse have tried out a host of labels since leaving Clone but have settled on Steffie Dorms’ Dolly for this triple hit of shimmering, club-friendly beats. ‘Skystream’ is a synth-juggling instrumental that recalls Orbital II’s rave laser atmosphere; ‘Almost There’ switches to serious house armed with luscious analogue pads and dub bass. The title track fits somewhere in between the two, all rippling dreamy low end and 4/4 beats, and attracting a brass synth remix care of Steven Tang. One for ravers and deep thinkers alike.
