If you don't own this one already, Shame! Never fear, Music On Vinyl present a glorious reissue of Wu-Tang Clan's earth-shattering debut. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) ushered a new period in rap music, a shift away from the jazzy modes of Q-Tip and co on one side, and the gangsta tropes of NWA and affiliates on the other. Producer RZA's horror and kung fu-movie aesthetic lended itself perfectly to the dark and sinister vocals of this nine-member clique, while the lyrical dexterity and intrigue of GZA and Ghostface bounced off the exuberant energy of Method Man and the unpredictable ODB. Classics abound, from 'C.R.E.A.M.' and the free-flowing 'Method Man' to the irrepressible 'Protect Ya Neck'.
