Following their recent mini-album, Everything Squared, the band's first new release in thirteen years, Seefeel are now sharing more new music in the shape of Squared Roots, a collection of seven tracks from the same recording sessions. On more of a drifting, dreamy ambient tip than the previous release, it finds Seefeel even more untethered from traditional song structures, exploring the nuances of deep cavernous bass, slow heart rate kick drums and cosmic synth textures. Sounds are heavily abstracted, with vocals and traditional instrumentation cut-up and processed to the point that they become indistinguishable from electronically generated noises. With motifs from all six tracks on Everything Squared reappearing, in some ways, Squared Roots can be thought of as a more dubbed out version excursion to the previous mini-album's more instantly recognisable sense of melody and rhythm.

Mastered by Slowdive drummer Simon Scott. Both the sleeve artwork for this companion mini-album, and a new Seefeel t-shirt that is being made available at the same time, have been designed by Ian Anderson of The Designers Republic. Squared Roots is now available digitally and on a compact disc, limited to 500 copies and available exclusively as a mail-order item, with streaming set to launch globally on December 11, 2024.

The band have also announced a number of festival dates for 2025, including appearances in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.
