Lapsus Records collects (and expands upon) Pye Corner Audio’s beloved Where Things Are Hollow series with this new box set entitled Where Things Are Hollow: No Tomorrow. Using 70’s/80’s progressive electronica, early Detroit techno, and horror film scores as jumping off points, Pye Corner Audio blended these strands into a sort of spectral retrofuturism across the first two Where Things Are Hollow editions that felt both haunted and oddly comforting in equal measure. The two added volumes for the box set push things in other directions: colder and more ambient focused on the third (which features more Pye Corner original work) and at times closer towards the dancefloor on the fourth (which adds remixes from Lord Of The Isles and John Talabot among others).
