The resurrection of Andrea Parker’s Touchin’ Bass label continues in style with this compilation of new material. It seems Quinolyne Yellow started a trait others have followed: ‘LCC Basement’ is a choppy but unnerving tangle of low-end, and it’s complimented by Jeff Pils’ ‘80s edged ‘Hunting Sausage’, and ‘The Painting of Life’ by Eniac, where corrupt 8-bit sounds scrape against white noise. Whatever happened at the label in their downtime seems to have taught them the secret of alchemy.
