The Orbital Mechanics label is nearing the finish line as they offer up the second to last addition of their 10 piece Orbital series with electro don Sound Synthesis. The Malta man is at his very best here, delivering off-kilter and vocoder-laden machine funk destined to freak out and move bodies in equal measure. The hefty ‘Vibe Killer’ kicks off with nearly demonic utterings before lifting off into a drum machine workout, while the closing ‘Experiment’ goes space age with gliding and bobbing synths that sound like aircraft instruments.
