Orchestra of Spheres bring their deranged, psychedelic funk to label Fire on their second full-length album ‘Animal Sex Brain Music’. The album is a persuasive blend of hypnotic vocal chants, raw guitar lines, and spiralling organ lines which seems in the lineage of legendary Krautrock groups like Amon Duhl II, but with a greater exuberance more akin to Syd Barret era Pink Floyd. ‘Journey’ ends in an intoxicated scrawl of guitar solo, while ‘Electric Kompani’ skews a robust Talking Heads funk with wildly wobbling broken synth chords.
