Techno master Robert Hood’s album ‘Paradise’, made under his Floorplan alias, won many new listeners over to his finely wrought, yet physical productions, and here he quickly follows it up with a single on M-Plant, bolstered by a Ben Sims remix. All of Hood’s palette is sharply produced, from the funk-driven machine malfunction of ‘Phobia’ to the more exuberant ‘Glory B’, which layers a preacher-style sample over classic house strings at an urgent tempo.
