Anthony Naples drops his first release on his own Proibito label with two extended house trips entitled ‘Pot 1’ and ‘Pot 2’. Side A is one half analogue jacker, complete with melted soul vocals and crushed video game synths, and the other half expansive pastoral swathes of distant pads. It’s as if house’s core elements were split right down the middle, and is strangely memorable for it. Knowing Naples’ talent for crafting eccentric, rough cuts, the B-side promises to be equally intriguing.
